Cotto was founded by two mom friends.

As parents, we started reading fabric labels — learning to tell real cotton from blends heavy with synthetic elastane. We wanted honest, high-cotton-content clothing for our family — without compromising on comfort or looks.

Socks are a different challenge — high cotton content wasn’t enough; they also needed to stretch and hold their shape. Looking good mattered too. That combination was hard to find.

So we decided to make it ourselves. We designed the styles ourselves, then tested each version on our own families. It took several rounds of revisions to get the fit and the knit right.

Cotto began with one style, one pattern, knit with 98% cotton — these comfortable, pretty socks were made for ourselves. Now, we’re sharing them with you.
