COTTO began in a small town in New York.
We met as two mothers, through our children at daycare.Over time, we realized how much we shared – a similar background, timespent in Europe, and a creative way of seeing things.
Motherhood changed how we choose what to wear.We found ourselves moving away from fashion for its own sake, and towardsomething more natural, more comfortable, more lasting.
At some point, we noticed how difficult it was to find cotton socks that felt right.
Many were either too loose or overly synthetic.
So we decided to make our own.
We started with a simple idea:
We designed these socks for ourselves and our families, and wewant to share them with you, too.
Through sampling, testing, and small adjustments, we developed a knit thatbalances softness with a gentle hold.Today, our socks are made with 98% cotton.
We wear them ourselves, every day.
And we made them to be shared.
